RMHC Metropolitan Area 2nd Branch Construction

McDonald's has been making continuous efforts for a long time to promote the health and welfare of children. By donating a certain amount from the sale of each Happy Meal and delivering a portion of the profits from the limited-time Lucky Burger sales at the end of the year, McDonald's raised a total donation of 528.59 million KRW last year and delivered it to Ronald McDonald House Korea (RMHC). In addition, as the largest sponsor and long-time partner, McDonald's continues to support activities such as sponsoring RMHC's annual event, the 'Ullim Writing Contest.'

Recently, McDonald's prepared a special donation campaign called '0.3-pyeong Mom's Bed' to build the second RMHC branch in the metropolitan area.

This campaign aims to improve awareness of the culture of caregiving on temporary beds and encourage donation participation. By scanning the QR code with a mobile device, you can watch interview videos of guardians living on temporary beds while caring for their sick children. After watching the interview videos, you can also participate in donations through the Happy Bean page. The Happy Bean donation campaign will run until the 23rd of next month.

A McDonald's representative said, "We launched this donation campaign to support children battling illness and their guardians through the construction of the second RMHC branch in the metropolitan area," adding, "We will continue to provide various support so that seriously ill children and their guardians can focus solely on treatment."

Meanwhile, RMHC is a residential facility where seriously ill children requiring long-term treatment and their families can stay near the hospital and concentrate on treatment. Currently, over 380 houses are operated in more than 60 countries and regions. In Korea, the first RMHC opened in 2019 at Pusan National University Hospital in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, providing a warm home for a total of 282 families to date.
