One Year of Special Guarantee Interest-Free Support… Small and Medium Business Development Fund and Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid, etc.
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Ilha) is taking direct and indirect various policy measures to stabilize management and revitalize the local economy for small business owners in the area who are facing economic difficulties.
First, on the 25th, the district held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation and four major commercial banks (Kookmin, Woori, Shinhan, Hana) to promote interest-free loan support for small business owners.
Starting at the end of this month, through contributions from the district and commercial banks, a special guarantee loan of 26.2 billion KRW will be provided to small business owners with one year of interest-free benefits.
Beginning this year, a loan fund of 100 billion KRW will be secured over four years to provide emergency funds to small business owners.
In addition, 5 billion KRW from the Small and Medium Business Development Fund has been allocated to support 79 companies with 2.8 billion KRW in the first half of the year, helping small business owners improve facilities and secure operating funds. In July, an additional 2 billion KRW from the Small and Medium Business Development Fund will be provided as loan support.
Furthermore, the district is implementing the "Yellow Umbrella Mutual Aid Support Project," which offers livelihood stability and business restart opportunities to small business owners facing management risks such as business closure or old age.
When joining the mutual aid association, up to 120,000 KRW will be accumulated free of charge for one year to help small business owners prepare for business closure or old age.
The district, in cooperation with Seoul City, supports the "Small Business Owner Support Employment Incentive" and has been accepting applications at the Small Business Support Center (Yuhan Yanghaeng 5th floor) since the 3rd of last month.
In particular, this program supports up to 3 million KRW per person for new hires among non-regular workers and small business owners with fewer than five employees, who are blind spots in government employment incentives, helping both secure management funds and stabilize employee employment.
Along with this, to revitalize small and medium enterprises and small business owners in the region, the district enacted the "Ordinance on Priority Purchase of Local Products in Dongjak-gu, Seoul," recommending that public institutions in Dongjak-gu prioritize purchasing from local businesses.
Through the "Proud of Our Companies" menu on the district office website, local companies can register their business information, and when public institutions proceed with purchasing goods, services, or construction, they can prioritize selecting companies within the district by accessing this information.
Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, "We will make every effort to find practical ways to help small business owners struggling with high inflation, high interest rates, and economic recession, and provide multifaceted support."
