Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do recently held a promotional event for agricultural specialty products at Bongeunsa Temple in Seoul, the county announced on the 29th.
Fourteen representative companies from Jangseong, including the Jangseong Food Integrated Support Center Foundation and the Nonghyup Cooperative Business Group, prepared over 110 kinds of excellent agricultural specialty products, receiving great response.
The event recorded sales of about 50 million KRW over two days, with some items selling out early, attracting attention.
The Korea Rice Farmers Association Jangseong Branch also promoted Jangseong rice by distributing 500g tasting rice packs to citizens.
Since the venue attracts many visitors, the county also focused on promoting Jangseong. Alongside the promotional event, they publicized the Jangseong Hometown Love Donation Program and the Jangseong online shopping mall, "Jangseong Mall."
Kim Han-jong, the mayor of Jangseong-gun, said, "Building on the success of this Bongeunsa agricultural specialty product promotional event, we will further expand efforts to promote the excellence of Jangseong's food products."
