On the 28th (local time), Grillo added 2 under par in the final 4th round of the PGA Tour Charles Schwab Challenge (total prize money $8.7 million) held at Colonial Country Club (par 70, 7,209 yards) in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, tying with Adam Schenk (USA) at 8 under par 272. He then secured the victory with a winning birdie on the second hole of the playoff at the 16th hole (par 3). This is his second career win since the Price.com Open in October 2015, with a winner's prize of $1,566,000 (approximately 2.08 billion KRW).
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) made a hole-in-one on the 8th hole (par 3, 199 yards), restoring his pride. He finished tied for 3rd place along with Harry Hall (England). Byeong Hun An lost 4 strokes and dropped to a tie for 21st place (1 under par 279). Si Woo Kim finished tied for 29th (even par 280), and Kyung Hoon Lee ended the tournament tied for 57th (5 over par 285).
