It has been revealed that the children of senior executives at the National Election Commission (NEC), who are suspected of preferential hiring, received the highest scores from 'their fathers' colleagues' during interviews.
According to the ruling party on the 29th, three internal committee members participated in the NEC hiring interview of the child of former Secretary-General Kim Se-hwan. Kim's child, who had worked as a local government official, was hired through a career recruitment process at the Incheon City NEC in January 2020.

Among the three NEC staff members serving as interviewers, two gave the highest rating of 'Excellent' in all five evaluation categories. The remaining one gave a 'Good' rating in one category and 'Excellent' in the other four. The three interviewers were reported to be colleagues who had worked with former Secretary-General Kim at the Incheon City Committee.
The child of Shin Woo-yong, a standing member from Jeju, also had an interview conducted by 'their father's colleagues' at the time of hiring. Among the four interviewers, two internal members were colleagues who had worked with Standing Member Shin at the Seoul City Committee. One gave 'Excellent' ratings in all five categories to Shin's child, while another gave three 'Excellent' and two 'Good' ratings.
Two employees from the Gyeongnam Provincial NEC also participated in the interview of the child of the General Affairs Manager, who was hired through career recruitment in 2021. They each gave 'Excellent' ratings in four categories and 'Good' in one category.
The child of Secretary-General Park Chan-jin received the highest scores in 17 out of 20 categories from four interviewers during the hiring interview, and the child of Deputy Secretary-General Song Bong-seop received perfect scores in all categories. It was understood that neither Secretary-General Park nor Deputy Secretary-General Song had prior work experience with the interviewers.
Meanwhile, the NEC is reportedly scheduled to hold an emergency central committee meeting on the morning of the 1st of next month to process the dismissal proposals for Secretary-General Park and Deputy Secretary-General Song.
