The National Institute of Technology and Standards announced on the 29th that it will launch the 'Test and Certification Big Data Platform Portal Service,' where companies and consumers can view test and certification data at a glance, on the 30th.
The Test and Certification Big Data Platform project aims to gather test and certification data, which are currently dispersed across testing institutions such as the Korea Apparel Testing & Research Institute and the Korea Testing Laboratory, into one place so that companies or consumers can use them efficiently.
After a one-month pilot operation, the project will officially launch as the 'Test and Certification Service in Your Hands' and the 'Certification Information QR Service.'
The Test and Certification Service in Your Hands integrates data from each testing institution in one place and supports companies in extracting, processing, and analyzing their product test data to utilize it for product development.
Through the Certification Information QR Service, consumers can scan QR codes with their mobile devices to check not only the product's certification information but also detailed product information and user manuals all at once.
Jin Jong-wook, Director of the National Institute of Technology and Standards, stated, "Starting with this service, we will gradually expand the participating testing institutions on the platform and advance it into a data distribution platform by 2024."
