Yangcheon-gu Offers Free Lectures on Urinary Health During Summer

Health Healing Culture Center to Host Free Health Lecture for 100 Residents on June 10, Featuring Talent Donation from Local Medical Institutions

Recruitment Begins June 1 at 10 AM for Lecture on Urinary Health Issues Such as Kidney Stones Common in Summer

Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Gi-jae) will hold a free special lecture titled "Signals from My Body, Could It Be Healthy?" on June 10 at the Health Healing Culture Center in collaboration with Ewha Medical Center to protect residents' urinary health, including kidney stones that are common during summer due to excessive sweating and extreme dieting.

This special lecture, the first of its kind jointly organized by Yangcheon-gu and local medical institutions, aims to contribute to improving residents' health and quality of life through expert lectures provided as talent donations by medical professionals.

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Kim Wan-seok, Head of the Department of Urology at Ewha Mokdong Hospital. He will cover topics such as urinary symptoms, the correlation between dieting, physical exercise, and kidney stones, understanding hematuria and bladder cancer, as well as the relationship between seasonal food characteristics and urinary health.

The lecture will take place in the multipurpose room on the 3rd floor of the Health Healing Culture Center on June 10 from 10 AM, lasting about two hours for 100 residents. Those interested can apply on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 AM on June 1 through the Health Healing Culture Center website or by visiting in person. The lecture is free of charge.
