Gangnam-gu to Host 2024 Academic Year University Admission Information Sessions

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold a 2024 university entrance exam briefing session for 500 students and parents at the Gangnam-gu Community Center on the 31st.

The district has been hosting entrance exam briefings annually since 2010 in collaboration with 22 high schools in the area. By providing the latest information on university-specific freshman recruitment and selection methods according to the changing entrance exam system, it has consistently received positive responses from Gangnam-gu students, parents, and teachers. This year, a total of three briefing sessions are planned for the first half of the year.

The first session will be held on the 31st at the Gangnam-gu Community Center from 6 PM to 9 PM. Admissions officers from the University of Seoul and Korea Energy Engineering University will participate, and a guidance counselor from Hyundai High School will present materials provided by Korea University’s admissions office. There will also be a Q&A session addressing questions from students and parents.

The second session will take place on June 2 at the Gangnam-gu Community Center, with admissions officers from Dongguk University, Kyung Hee University, and Sungkyunkwan University participating. The third session will be held on June 16 at Hyundai High School, featuring admissions officers from Ewha Womans University, Hanyang University, Sogang University, and Chung-Ang University. Detailed information can be found on the Gangnam-gu Office website and through the school notification systems of local high schools.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, “I hope this entrance exam briefing will help examinees and parents establish successful exam strategies,” and added, “We will strive to create an educational environment befitting Gangnam, the ‘No. 1 Education District,’ so that students can achieve their dreams.”
