Pohang City Holds Appointment Ceremony for New Members of Local Tax and Contract Review Committee

Pohang City held an appointment ceremony on the 26th for the Pohang City Local Tax Deliberation Committee and Contract Deliberation Committee members to protect taxpayers' rights and review the appropriateness and legality of contracts.

Pohang City held an appointment ceremony for new members of the Local Tax Contract Deliberation Committee.

The Local Tax Deliberation Committee consists of a total of 13 members, including 8 private members with extensive expertise and experience in local taxes such as lawyers, tax accountants, and accountants, 1 city council member, the head of the City Autonomy Administration Office, and the head of the Finance Management Division. The Contract Deliberation Committee is composed of 12 members, including 11 private members such as university professors, lawyers, and accountants with rich experience and knowledge in accounting and procurement contracts, as well as the head of the Pohang City Autonomy Administration Office.

The Local Tax Deliberation Committee will carry out tasks such as pre-assessment review, objection requests, and deliberation and resolution of the standard market value of real estate, and will engage in activities to develop the local tax system and protect taxpayers' rights.

The Contract Deliberation Committee deliberates and resolves important matters related to contracts involving local governments as parties, including restrictions on bidder qualifications in bidding, methods of contract conclusion, methods of selecting successful bidders, and restrictions on participation qualifications for fraudulent contractors.
