President Yoon Suk-yeol sent a congratulatory message to the public on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday, marking his first time celebrating the holiday since taking office.
On the 27th, Buddha's Birthday, President Yoon stated, "I hope the compassionate light of Buddha will be with all the people."
In a commemorative message posted on Facebook in the form of a congratulatory note, President Yoon wrote, "We celebrate Buddha's Birthday in the year 2567 of the Buddhist calendar."
He added, "The spirit of Buddha's compassion warmly illuminates our society," and "The government will make greater efforts to ensure that this warm energy spreads widely to our neighbors."
