The number of new cases is 137 fewer than the previous day (17,933). It is also 77 fewer than a week ago on the 20th (17,873), showing a similar level.
From the 21st to the 27th, the daily new cases were 16,802 → 6,796 → 21,377 → 22,952 → 19,073 → 17,933 → 17,796, with a daily average of 17,532.
Among the new cases on this day, 37 were imported cases, and 17,759 were domestic community transmissions.

As of midnight, the number of critically ill patients hospitalized was 176, down by 4 from the previous day. There were 3 deaths reported the previous day. The cumulative death toll is 34,754, with a cumulative fatality rate of 0.11%.
