Inspection of 30 Cooked Food and Unmanned Cafe Beverage Items
Foods frequently enjoyed by visitors during spring outings in Ulsan have all been found to be safe.
On the 27th, the Ulsan City Health and Environment Research Institute announced that all tested items, including restaurant-prepared foods and unmanned cafe beverages, were found to be safe after testing for food poisoning bacteria in preparation for the outing season.
The inspection was conducted on 30 samples collected from districts and counties between March and May 19, including outdoor convenience foods such as gimbap, toast, and bread, as well as the recently increasing unmanned cafe beverages.
The test items included hygiene indicator bacteria such as total bacterial count and Escherichia coli, as well as food poisoning bacteria such as Salmonella, enterohemorrhagic E. coli, and Campylobacter. All results met the standard criteria.
An official from the institute stated, “When dining out or eating outdoors, personal hygiene must be thoroughly maintained,” and added, “Due to the recent rapid rise in temperature, food poisoning is more likely to occur, so it is essential to strictly follow food storage methods and storage temperatures.”
