On the 25th, Baek Jong-hoon, CEO of Kumho Petrochemical, and employees visited 'Neulpyeonhan Jip,' a welfare facility for the disabled located in Nowon-gu, Seoul, and delivered customized assistive device support funds worth 70 million KRW.
The items supported as customized assistive devices are mainly special wheelchairs equipped with urethane inner (customized posture maintenance devices). Using inners made to fit individual physical characteristics helps with posture correction and prevention of body deformation, but due to the economic burden on facilities from periodic replacements, Kumho Petrochemical sponsors their production.
A Kumho Petrochemical official stated, "Over the past three years, social contribution activities were conducted non-face-to-face due to COVID-19, but starting this year, we plan to return to face-to-face activities to revive the original purpose and meaning of social contribution activities for vulnerable groups."
