Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is recruiting participants for the ‘2023 Jungnang Vision Roundtable’ to be held at the Jungnang Culture and Sports Center on July 6.

The ‘Jungnang Vision Roundtable’ is a gathering where residents from all walks of life share policy ideas, serving as a communication platform to openly share the future development of the region with residents and collect creative and innovative opinions.

This year’s meeting, themed ‘ESG Jungnang, Creating a Sustainable Future Together,’ will share the achievements and future vision of the first year of the 8th local government administration, and will be organized as a forum to consider with residents the actions needed to leap forward as a sustainable development city.

The district is recruiting a total of 100 participants, including Jungnang residents, students or workers located in Jungnang-gu, and ESG experts, to join the roundtable by June 5. Applications can be submitted by visiting the Planning and Budget Division of Jungnang-gu Office, local community service centers, or online through the district office website. When applying, participants can select their area of interest among the four fields of Environment (E), Social (S), Economy (S), and Governance (G).

Discussion groups will be formed based on the selected areas of interest, and ideas proposed during the discussions will be reflected in the basic strategies for sustainable development and implementation plans in district administration.

To gather diverse opinions, participants will be selected considering gender, age, and residential area, and a preliminary survey on discussion topics will be conducted for the final participants before the meeting.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “The ‘Jungnang Vision Roundtable,’ held consistently for six years, is a place of communication, cooperation, and empathy where residents of various generations can directly voice their opinions on policy areas of interest. We ask for the participation of many people to think together about Jungnang-style ESG policies and propose good ideas so that Jungnang-gu can advance as a sustainable development city.”

Since its first event in 2018, the ‘Jungnang Vision Roundtable,’ now in its sixth edition, embodies Mayor Ryu’s commitment to making policy decisions and managing district administration based on residents’ participation and opinions.
