Global Perspectives on Korean Space Science and Technology Are Set to Change

President Yoon Suk-yeol stated on the 25th, "The success of the third Nuriho launch is a remarkable achievement that declares our country’s entry into the space powerhouse G7."

The Presidential Office conveyed through a press release that afternoon that President Yoon offered these congratulations.

President Yoon said, "Only the United States, France, Japan, Russia, China, and India have launched domestically produced satellites using domestically produced launch vehicles into space orbit," and added, "The global perspective on South Korea’s space science technology and advanced industries will change significantly."

He continued, "The third Nuriho launch placed eight practical satellites into orbit, which is a tremendous advancement compared to the second launch that placed one experimental satellite into orbit."

Furthermore, he said, "I commend and congratulate the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, Hanwha Aerospace, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), researchers, and engineers for their hard work together with the people."
