The Small and Medium Business Owners Conference is an event honoring the achievements of small and venture business owners who contributed to economic development. About 500 small business owners and government officials, as well as the heads of the top 10 domestic conglomerates, attended and enjoyed pizza, chicken, and beer with President Yoon Seok-yeol.
GoPizza was invited to this event following its participation as the only food tech company in the economic delegation to the United States last month.
GoPizza installed its food tech technologies, GOBOT and GOVEN, at the event site to showcase the pizza-making process. CEO Lim Jae-won demonstrated the manufacturing process to President Yoon and Minister Lee Young of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. President Yoon also inquired about the safety of the automated system, the GOBOT station, and the quality of GoPizza dough.
At the event, pizzas featuring unique flavors from various countries, such as 'K-Bulgogi Pizza' and 'Indian Tandoori Chicken Pizza,' were served. The Tandoori Chicken Pizza is a popular menu item of GoPizza's local branch in India and was introduced domestically for the first time at this event.
CEO Lim said, "I am honored to participate in this event following the economic delegation to the United States. We will continue to strive to grow as a nationally representative pizza brand recognized not only in Korea but also overseas."
Meanwhile, GoPizza started as a food truck in 2016 and is a single-serving pizza brand that can be enjoyed as casually as fast food. In 2020, it was the only dining company selected as a 'Baby Unicorn' company by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Currently, it operates over 180 stores in five countries, including Korea, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
