Ottogi Launches Two Types of 'Light Sugar Jam' with Reduced Sugar Content

Use of Domestic Seasonal Fruits Such as Strawberries and Jadu

Ottogi announced on the 25th that it has launched two types of 'Light Sugar Jam' that preserve the natural taste of the fruit pulp while reducing sugar content.

The new products, strawberry jam and plum jam, feature a 30% reduction in sugar content compared to the top three products in the jam market. The sweetness level, which indicates the degree of sweetness, was also reduced by 20%.


Seasonal fruits harvested from domestic specialty regions were used. Strawberry jam uses strawberries from Nonsan, and plum jam uses plums from Gimcheon, both sourced from domestic specialty regions. The product packaging features a transparent label to allow visual confirmation of the fresh fruit pulp’s color and texture.


An Ottogi representative said, "We launched the Light Sugar Jam containing fruit pulp from domestic specialty regions, recognizing that consumers are increasingly scrutinizing product ingredients and raw materials. We will continue to introduce products that meet market trends and consumer needs."
