Introduction of Printer Box Manufacturing Equipment Facility

Expected Performance Improvement through Expansion

Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held an opening ceremony and equipment demonstration on the 24th for the Geochang-gun Disabled Workers' Workplace, which is making a new leap forward with facility expansions including warehouse extension, office relocation, and the introduction of equipment (printer box manufacturing machine) to increase production items.

The event was attended by about 80 people, including County Governor Gu In-mo, Vice Chairman of the County Council Park Su-ja, county council members, Provincial Assembly member Park Joo-eon, local cooperative heads, agricultural workgroup members, business representatives, Yoon Jong-sul, representative of the Gyeongnam Disabled Parents' Association, and officials from the operating corporation, who celebrated the workplace's renovation and supported its future development.

In 2022, the Geochang-gun Disabled Workers' Workplace expanded and relocated its warehouse and office with 800 million KRW of county funds due to increased employment of disabled persons and increased production volume. Additionally, 800 million KRW of national and provincial funds were selected through the Ministry of Health and Welfare's function enhancement project, enabling the introduction of a printer box manufacturing machine, which has allowed diversification of products and expansion of sales channels.

Vice Chairman Park encouraged, “Although there were some operational difficulties for a while, I applaud the achievements made by overcoming them.”

Governor Gu said, “With this expansion, I hope it becomes the best workplace that provides jobs to more disabled people and helps them achieve independence.”

Through this event, Geochang-gun plans to support the Geochang-gun Disabled Workers' Workplace to become widely known and serve as a representative facility for the vocational independence of disabled people in the region.
