Development of a Visual Theme Park at Sand Beach Resort Using South Korean Technology
Metaverse company Newto Co., Ltd. (Newto) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Wide Vnk and Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort to create a visual theme park in Da Nang, a central city in Vietnam.
The signing ceremony was attended by Juyong Choi, CEO of Newto, Ilhwan Jung, Chairman of Wide Vnk, Shinoak Kang, CEO of Wide Vnk, Buding Kwan, Chairman of Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort, and Nguyen Ngoc Thung, CEO of Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort.
The ceremony was reported on Vietnam's national broadcaster VTV News, where Nguyen Xuan Binh, Director of the Da Nang Tourism Department, delivered a congratulatory speech expressing deep admiration for Korea's immersive content technology and pledged full cooperation and support from the Da Nang authorities for this project.
Through this project, the forest area of Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort in Da Nang, Vietnam, will undergo an innovative transformation to become a world-class entertainment night tourism destination combining captivating shows and immersive experiences, evolving into a visual theme park focused on the natural beauty of the coastal area and innovative technology.
The visual theme park will utilize Newto’s immersive technology to offer a digital tourism product featuring lighting shows that blend various lights, animations, and videos. Unlike traditional night walks, it will introduce an immersive experience method where visitors autonomously plan their routes and enjoy discovering hidden content, integrating Vietnam’s history and culture into both real and virtual spaces through Newto’s unique technology.
Visitors will carry mood lamps embedded with RF-ID, which respond to various lighting effects and art content, enabling a dramatic experience.
Juyong Choi, CEO of Newto, and Nguyen Ngoc Thung, CEO of Sandy Beach Non Nuoc Resort, expressed their expectations that "Vietnam’s first visual theme park being built in Da Nang will serve as an opportunity to showcase unique beauty to a wide range of domestic and international tourists."
