The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization are issuing discount coupons for accommodation facilities and amusement parks nationwide in celebration of June as the "Travel Month." On the 24th, Kim Sang-wook, Director of Tourism Industry Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "Next month, the COVID-19 crisis alert level will be downgraded from 'Severe' to 'Caution,' entering the phase of daily life recovery," adding, "We hope that the provision of discount coupons will allow the public and the tourism industry to feel the benefits and revitalize regional tourism."

Travelers visiting the Donghae Hajodae Skywalk are relaxing while gazing at the endless sea and the deep sky.

The accommodation discount coupons are divided into 'Regional (May 30 - June 1)' and 'Nationwide (June 2 - 30)' categories, with 900,000 coupons distributed in the first half of the year. Eligible facilities include hotels, condos, motels, and rural guesthouses registered domestically. In the twelve metropolitan cities and provinces, a discount of 50,000 KRW is applied for purchases exceeding 70,000 KRW, while in other regions, a discount of 30,000 KRW is applied for purchases exceeding 50,000 KRW. However, the coupons cannot be used for unregistered accommodations or hourly rentals, and issuance to minors is prohibited.

The coupons are provided on a first-come, first-served basis through online travel agencies, limited to one issuance per person. Reservations must be made by 7 a.m. the day after receiving the coupon for it to be valid. If unused, the coupon can be reissued the following day. A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official advised, "You cannot receive both 'Regional' and 'Nationwide' discount coupons simultaneously," and urged, "Since early depletion is expected, please check the usage conditions and make reservations accordingly."

The amusement park discount coupons will be issued from June 31 to July 31. When purchased through online travel agencies, up to two tickets per person (with a 10,000 KRW discount each) are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
