Google Unveils AI-Powered Ad Creation Tool 'Product Studio'
Marketing Event Held on MS Developer Conference Day to Announce
On the 23rd (local time), Google announced that it will soon launch a tool that creates ads based on search terms using generative artificial intelligence (AI). This move appears to be a counterattack against Microsoft (MS), which is accelerating the integration of AI into its products.
According to Bloomberg and others, Google unveiled the AI-powered ad creation tool based on search terms called "Product Studio" at the 'Google Marketing Live' event that day. Product Studio is an AI model that generates both text and images, allowing users to create new backgrounds and quickly adjust product images visually using everyday language.
By using Product Studio, marketers can create ads by leveraging product descriptions on their websites. Google explained that during this process, it can automatically generate ad copy and product descriptions that are more relevant to the search terms frequently used by potential customers. The necessary images are also sourced using generative AI. Low-resolution images can be enhanced to higher clarity, unwanted backgrounds can be removed, or images from other locations can be added to the ads.
Jerry Dischler, Vice President of Google Ads, commented, "As AI rapidly evolves, exciting developments have begun in the advertising industry."
Meanwhile, on the same day, MS held its annual developer conference (Build) and announced that it will provide its Bing as the default search engine for the generative AI ChatGPT and integrate AI into the Windows operating system.
