‘Providing Integrated Health Care Services
to Promote Community Residents' Health’
Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam Province held a completion and opening ceremony for the relocation and reconstruction of the Seomyeon Health Center.
The event held on the 23rd was attended by about 200 people, including County Governor Jang Chung-nam, local figures, and residents. Various activities such as a pre-ceremony performance (Hwajeon Nongak, Nanta performance), presentation of appreciation plaques, ribbon cutting, and operation of a health promotion pavilion were held, creating a small festival with the local community.

The newly relocated Seomyeon Health Center has been a long-cherished project for Seomyeon residents. With a project budget of 1.4 billion KRW and secured land, construction began in October last year.
The two-story building (site area 1,475㎡, total floor area 335.85㎡) is equipped with examination rooms (general and Korean medicine), treatment rooms, a community primary care consultation room, and rest areas, aiming to provide integrated health care services.
Governor Jang Chung-nam said, “The new Seomyeon Health Center is an important stepping stone to promote the health and welfare of the local community,” adding, “I hope the relocated and reconstructed Seomyeon Health Center will play an even more vital role in protecting health and greatly help local residents lead healthy lives.”
The relocated Seomyeon Health Center has been operating normally since the 22nd.
