T'way Air announced on the 24th that it will resume its regular Incheon~Hong Kong route, which had been suspended since February 2020 due to COVID-19, starting July 14th, becoming the first domestic low-cost carrier (LCC) to do so.
The Incheon~Hong Kong route, first launched at the end of 2019, had an average load factor of 75% and was a popular route among customers. Through this resumption by T'way Air, it is expected that convenience will increase with reasonable fares and a variety of schedule options.
Hong Kong, an attractive city where Eastern and Western cultures coexist, is a popular destination among young travelers, and this resumption by T'way Air is expected to attract significant customer interest.
To celebrate the resumption of the Hong Kong route, T'way Air is holding a special promotional event until June 6th, offering one-way fares starting from 174,100 KRW. Additionally, customers can receive a 5% discount by entering the 'Hong Kong' discount code when booking regular tickets, and a 10,000 KRW discount coupon is also provided for round-trip reservations.
Detailed fare and event information can be checked and used on T'way Air’s website and mobile app (web).
Since the endemic phase, T'way Air has been continuously resuming and expanding new routes. Besides the metropolitan airports, it is actively enhancing convenience for passengers using regional airports by expanding routes to Da Nang, Bangkok, Osaka, and Nha Trang through Cheongju Airport. A T'way Air official stated, “We have become the first domestic LCC to operate the previously closed Hong Kong route, improving convenience for our customers. Based on a thorough safety operation system, we will continue to enhance customer satisfaction with differentiated fares and services.”
