Gyeongnam Police Agency Best One Team, Midterm Review of Traffic Safety Activities in the Province

18 Organizations and Agencies Unite to Reduce Traffic Accidents

The BeST one-team, a working group of traffic safety practitioners at the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, conducted a mid-term review on the 22nd regarding measures to reduce traffic accidents and the progress of traffic safety activities.

According to the Provincial Police Agency, the BeST one-team was established to define the roles of each organization and strengthen mutual cooperation in order to reduce traffic accidents in 2023.

The mid-term review meeting held at the Gyeongnam Traffic Culture Training Center was attended by 25 members from 18 organizations, including the police, Gyeongnam Provincial Government, Autonomous Police Committee, Provincial Office of Education, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, Gyeongnam Traffic Culture Training Center, transportation organizations, and mutual aid associations.

They analyzed traffic accidents that occurred this year, shared the implementation plans of each organization, and discussed solutions to issues or shortcomings in execution.

The BeST one-team plans to strengthen traffic safety activities aimed at preventing accidents involving vulnerable road users such as children and the elderly through collaboration among organizations.

They also intend to establish a foundation for sustainable traffic safety education and publicity, as well as to promote a social atmosphere supportive of traffic safety.

A representative from the Provincial Police Agency stated, “We will make every effort to create a safe Gyeongnam free from traffic accidents, centered on the BeST one-team.”
