Renovated as a 'Popup Dining Restaurant'
Showcasing Newly Developed Dishes Every 3-4 Months
First Attempt: Healthy and Authentic Indian Cuisine Draws Attention
Haevichi Hotel & Resort Jeju announced on the 23rd that it has newly renovated 'Darangshi' as a pop-up dining restaurant and will offer an 'Indian course menu' as its first promotion until August 10.
Darangshi, a restaurant located outdoors at the resort, has transformed into an 'Innovative Cuisine Lab' that researches and develops various dishes not limited to a specific category, and operates as a 'pop-up dining restaurant' presenting newly developed dishes every 3 to 4 months. For its first attempt, it prepared a course menu featuring authentic Indian cuisine, which is gaining attention as a healthy meal rich in wellness ingredients such as whole grains and turmeric.
This course menu consists of five dishes and four servings of alcoholic beverages and drinks that enhance the flavors of the food. An Indian chef prepares dishes on the spot using a tandoor (Indian clay oven), offering a course that reflects Indian food culture, allowing guests to experience the exotic flavors of India.
As appetizers, 'Papadam,' a flatbread made from chickpea batter, and traditional Indian sauces including mint sauce, raita, and tamarind sauce are served. Papadam is freshly baked in the tandoor, providing a crispier texture. Guests can sequentially enjoy 'Samosa,' Indian-style fried vegetable dumplings, and the 'Tandoori Platter,' which includes lamb ribs and chicken legs marinated in a special sauce and grilled over charcoal in the tandoor.
Also prepared is 'Thali,' an exotic Indian dining style where several small dishes are served on a large plate. The Thali includes shrimp curry, butter chicken curry, spinach cheese curry, Indian-style rice, and naan. 'Rice pudding,' a popular dessert in India, is served as dessert.
Kisojoo highball, red wine, white wine, and 'Chai,' India's representative traditional tea, are each served in one glass to complement the course.
Darangshi operates from 5 PM to 10 PM and is closed every Tuesday and Wednesday.
