Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) is recruiting companies to participate in the U.S. overseas market development team until May 26 to support local small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in expanding their overseas market channels.

This overseas market development team, dispatched for the first time by Dobong-gu, will recruit five companies targeting sock manufacturers in Dobong-gu and resident companies of Seoul Startup Hub Changdong. Selected companies are scheduled to participate in the ‘LA Korean Festival’ held from October 12 to 15.

The LA Korean Festival is the largest representative festival in Southern California, attracting over 300,000 visitors. This year’s theme is ‘A Great Challenge Toward a New 50 Years,’ and it will be held around Seoul International Park in LA Koreatown.

The development team will operate exhibition and sales booths and conduct buyer matching consultation sessions. The district will support participating companies with booth rental fees, logistics costs, and more.

The application period for participating companies is until May 26. Those wishing to participate can download the application form from the Dobong-gu Office website (Announcements/Budget → Notices/Announcements), fill it out, and submit it via email.

After receiving applications, the district will review the potential for overseas market entry and select participants. The results will be individually notified to the selected companies in June. Preparations and preliminary information for participation will be provided through a separate pre-briefing session for participating companies.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Starting with this first overseas market development team, we will actively support companies in Dobong-gu that wish to enter overseas markets.”
