Gyeongnam Bank Opens "A New Time Begins... 53rd Anniversary Ceremony"

Bank President Ye Kyung-tak: "We Will Practice Warm, Customer-Centered Mutual Growth Finance

to Become True Partners with Customers and the Local Community"

BNK Gyeongnam Bank held its '53rd Anniversary Ceremony' on the 22nd to celebrate its founding anniversary.


About 200 people attended the ceremony held in the main auditorium, including BNK Financial Group Chairman Bin Dae-in, BNK Gyeongnam Bank President Ye Kyung-tak, executives, headquarters department heads, and branch managers.


Before the main event, a 'large wall clock unveiling ceremony' was held in the plaza in front of the headquarters to signify the start of a new time for a leap forward.

BNK Gyeongnam Bank President Ye Kyung-tak, BNK Gyeongnam Bank Labor Union Chairman Kim Jeong-hyun, and employees announced the beginning of a new time for greater growth of the region and BNK Gyeongnam Bank through the large wall clock unveiling ceremony.


The 53rd anniversary ceremony proceeded in the order of congratulatory video, birthday cake event, president's anniversary speech, chairman's congratulatory address, scholarship and donation presentation, employee awards, and a pledge to create a sound corporate culture.


In the congratulatory video, Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City, Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Koo Ja-cheon, Chairman of Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Lee Yoon-cheol, Chairman of Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, congratulated BNK Gyeongnam Bank on its founding.


Following this, a surprise birthday cake event was held to celebrate the anniversary, where executives and employees congratulated each other and shared their joy.


Chairman Bin congratulated BNK Gyeongnam Bank on its 53rd anniversary in his congratulatory speech and conveyed the message, "Let us unite our strength, courageously challenge, and wisely promote to create a great BNK."


In particular, the 53rd anniversary ceremony attracted attention as a meaningful occasion was prepared to support academically outstanding students in the region and vulnerable groups.


BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to provide a total of 150 million KRW in scholarships to 235 academically outstanding students in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan regions, including those who received scholarships and scholarship certificates at the ceremony.


Additionally, to establish a culture of praise among employees, BNK Gyeongnam Bank matched the donations voluntarily prepared by executives and employees through the 'Alkongdalkong (Encouraging Each Other Among Employees)' program, delivering a total of 20 million KRW to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea. This donation will be used to support vulnerable groups in the region.


To encourage long-term employees and promote harmony among executives and employees, an employee awards ceremony was held, followed by a performance of 'Colors of the Wind' by soprano Park Eun-young, a member of the Gyeongnam Mecenat Association.


In his anniversary speech, President Ye said, "Since BNK Gyeongnam Bank started in 1970 with a capital of 300 million KRW, it would have been impossible to grow into a regional representative bank with total assets of 60 trillion KRW without the help of customers and the local community. BNK Gyeongnam Bank will practice warm, customer-centered mutual growth finance to become a true partner of customers and the local community. We will also strive to walk together with the local community by promoting practical social contribution projects such as ESG management and job creation support."


He added, "Even in uncertain financial situations, we will remain steadfast and make BNK Gyeongnam Bank a major force in the regional economic ecosystem. Furthermore, we will do our best to secure a stable foundation for future growth."


Gyeongnam Bank concluded the 53rd anniversary ceremony by sharing messages of basics and principles, autonomy and responsibility, empathy and fairness, respect and consideration through a pledge to create a sound corporate culture, with all executives and employees participating together.
