AfroSystems' Rear License Plate Enforcement Equipment Gains Popularity

Apro Systems is attracting market attention by showcasing two models of rear-end signal and speed violation enforcement devices and two models of rear-end speed violation enforcement devices, which have been designated as excellent products by the Public Procurement Service to prevent the rapidly increasing motorcycle accidents. Apro Systems has registered these products on the Nara Marketplace comprehensive shopping mall and has begun full-scale sales.

In October last year, Apro Systems won the bid for the 'Rear License Plate Unmanned Enforcement Equipment' pilot project commissioned by the National Police Agency and successfully developed the product. These devices have been installed in Jungnang-gu, Suwon City, and Hwaseong City. After completing the pilot operation, the National Police Agency began enforcement in April this year.

The results have also been remarkable. The Traffic Division of the Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency detected a total of 742 cases of speeding and signal violations last month using the rear license plate unmanned enforcement equipment, including 601 four-wheeled vehicles and 141 two-wheeled vehicles. This appears to be because drivers slowed down in front of the enforcement devices but then rapidly accelerated after passing them.

Five provincial police agencies nationwide, including Seoul, Busan, Gyeonggi Southern, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk, plan to install rear license plate unmanned enforcement equipment at 25 locations this year after analyzing areas with frequent motorcycle traffic accidents. They also plan to expand installation sites further in cooperation with local governments.
