Air Busan concluded the book concert it held on the 19th, becoming the first domestic airline to host such an event.
On the evening of the 19th at 8 PM, Air Busan invited YouTuber ‘Draw Andrew,’ author of the book Lucky Draw and with about 600,000 subscribers, to hold a book concert at the KT&G Sangsangmadang 3rd floor Live Hall in Seomyeon, Busan.
This book concert was an event planned to expand Air Busan’s specialized service, the electronic library ‘Haneul Chaekbang,’ into an offline format, marking the first attempt by a domestic airline.
According to Air Busan, they initially announced that they would accept attendees on a first-come, first-served basis from the 3rd to the 17th for 15 days, but as soon as registration opened, the number of applicants far exceeded the capacity of 190, reaching over 420, leading to an early closure of registration.
At the event, Air Busan prepared boarding passes designed identically to actual international flight tickets, which were distributed as admission tickets, and the event was conducted by Air Busan cabin crew members.
Afterwards, YouTuber ‘Draw Andrew’ introduced his book Lucky Draw and gave a lecture on the theme “How to Pull the Lever of Life Until You Find Your Own Path,” followed by a Q&A session to communicate with the attendees.
Additionally, in the Lucky Draw (Gift Drawing) event, six people were randomly selected to receive prizes including ▲ three round-trip domestic flight tickets from Air Busan ▲ three Air Busan model airplanes.
A signing event was held on-site for attendees who brought ‘Draw Andrew’s’ book, allowing them to receive the author’s autograph directly, and all attendees were given an Air Busan travel kit.
An Air Busan official stated, “This event was an offline extension of ‘Haneul Chaekbang,’ Air Busan’s representative customer service that is increasingly loved, aiming to provide more diverse and direct services to customers who use it.”
He added, “It is a very unique and new attempt for an airline to lend books for free and hold a book concert. Going forward, Air Busan will continue to strive to offer innovative and specialized customer services that break the conventional mold in various fields.”
To use Air Busan’s ‘Haneul Chaekbang,’ log in to the Air Busan app and click on ‘Haneul Chaekbang’ within the ‘Service Guide’ category.
The loan period is 14 days, and users can borrow up to 10 books per month. Detailed information on how to use the service is available on Air Busan’s website and mobile web/app.
