DYD affiliate Sambutogeon was invited to a forum for Ukraine reconstruction projects.
DYD (CEO Jeong Chang-rae) announced on the 22nd that its affiliate Sambutogeon (CEO Lee Eung-geun) was invited to the Ukraine Global Reconstruction Forum held in Poland, where key executives attended. The scale of post-war reconstruction projects in Ukraine is currently estimated at approximately 1,200 trillion KRW.
The forum will be held from the 22nd to the 25th in Warsaw and Krakow, Poland. Participants include the South Korean government, National Assembly, local governments, institutions, companies, as well as international organizations, the EU, and NGOs, who will explore various measures for humanitarian aid, post-war recovery, and economic and social development in Ukraine, and discuss cooperation.
The Ukrainian government is also actively seeking participation from Korean companies. On the 17th, Rostyslav Shurma, Chief of Staff to the President of Ukraine, who visited Korea to attend the Asian Leadership Conference (ALC), requested at the Korea-Ukraine Business Forum hosted by the Korea International Trade Association that Korean companies participate in energy reconstruction projects such as nuclear power plants.
A company official stated, “Our company is attending through our affiliate Sambutogeon to take charge of civil engineering and construction reconstruction for Ukraine’s post-war recovery,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure successful reconstruction based on our expertise in the construction sector.”
Meanwhile, DYD completed the payment for the acquisition of Sambutogeon in February and became the sole largest shareholder. The company is expanding its real estate development business including civil engineering, construction, and architecture.
