Selected for the '2023 Local Content Focus University' Project
The Local Creator Development Project Group at Mokpo National University (President Song Ha-cheol) held its launch ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 19th in the Central Library Video Seminar Room and officially began its activities.

According to Mokpo National University on the 22nd, after being selected as the only university in the Honam region for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ ‘2023 Local Content Focus University’ project at the end of March, the project group was quickly formed, and a Local Creator Microdegree course was established, leading to this launch ceremony.
The launch ceremony, held in the Central Library Video Seminar Room with participating professors and students enrolled in the Local Creator Microdegree course, included an introduction to the project group and the project itself, as well as a time for students to share their determination and commitment.
In particular, at the launch ceremony, Kim Kyung-hee, a Local Creator and CEO of ‘Bipangine’ who graduated from Mokpo National University, shared her story titled ‘A Female College Student’s Startup Story: Starting a Business Locally,’ which drew great interest from the attendees.
Professor Lee Jin-hyung of the Department of Tourism Management, who serves as the head of the project group, stated, “Students’ career paths do not necessarily have to be in the metropolitan area or large corporations. Through thorough field-centered education and collaboration among local creators, we want to show that our students can successfully thrive as innovative small business owners in the local neighborhood markets.”
Meanwhile, on the 11th, the Mokpo National University Local Creator Development Project Group also held a Local Content Focus University Council meeting in the Central Library Video Seminar Room, attended by officials from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Small Enterprise and Market Service, and representatives from seven local content focus universities nationwide.
