While employment fairs had been held online due to COVID-19, this year’s event will be conducted face-to-face, featuring on-site hiring through interviews, as well as providing employment information and experience booths.

At the 2022 online employment fair for persons with disabilities (held from August 29 to October 31), 42 companies posted job openings and 337 job seekers participated, resulting in 42 final hires. Before the outbreak of COVID-19, the employment fair consistently supported the employment of more than 50 persons annually.

Any registered person with a disability can participate in this event. Those wishing to attend should bring their disability welfare card and resume and visit the indoor gymnasium of the Daegu Vocational Competency Development Institute on the day of the event.

Jung Ui-gwan, Director of the Health and Welfare Bureau of Daegu City, stated, “This employment fair for persons with disabilities aims to boost the employment motivation of job-seeking persons with disabilities and support customized on-site interviews according to disability types to facilitate hiring. Furthermore, we hope this will serve as an opportunity to create an environment in the local community where persons with disabilities can be employed.”
