Lotte Construction announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as the contractor for the Cheongnyangni 8 District Housing Redevelopment Project in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul.
Cheongnyangni 8 District is a project to newly develop the area around 435 Cheongnyangni-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, into six apartment buildings ranging from three basement floors to 24 above-ground floors, with a total of 610 households. The total construction cost is 172.8 billion KRW.
To enhance the value of the complex, Lotte Construction planned a landmark building and intends to add a luxurious feel to the apartment exterior design through various skylines, curtain wall look (a construction method that finishes the concrete wall between exterior window frames with glass instead of paint), and specialized side walls using landscape lighting. Additionally, the entire complex will be arranged 100% facing south, with open views (spaces secured for scenic views) and wind paths to maximize the openness of the complex.
Cheongnyangni 8 District is a super-station area within walking distance of Cheongnyangni Station, which serves Subway Line 1, the Gyeongui-Jungang Line, and the Suin-Bundang Line. It also has excellent school districts nearby, including Samyuk Elementary School, Cheongnyang Middle School, and Cheongnyang High School. Furthermore, convenience facilities such as Lotte Department Store and Lotte Mart are within walking distance, making daily life convenient.
A representative from Lotte Construction said, “As demonstrated in the nearby Cheongnyangni 4 District and Cheongnyangni 7 District, we proposed a specialized design incorporating the construction know-how accumulated by Lotte Construction. We are grateful for the support of the union members who trusted us, and we will do our best to create a landmark in Cheongnyangni that meets their expectations.”
