The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has revamped its website to enhance user convenience and focus on search functionality.
On the 22nd, Suwon City announced that it redesigned the website into a search-centered platform in response to citizens' feedback that it was difficult to find information by clicking through submenus directly on the site.
The new website features a large search bar prominently placed in the center, similar to a portal search engine, and the overall design has been simplified. It is structured to allow users to find the information they want through search.
Additionally, the menu structure has been simplified as much as possible, and similar dispersed information has been gathered to provide topic-based information.
The mobile website has also been updated with a central search bar and a bottom section where users can bookmark their preferred menus. Users can apply for civil petitions and check customized welfare information from the bottom section.
The most frequently searched inquiries over the past week are displayed as hashtags below the search bar.
A Suwon City official stated, "This improvement in website functionality and design is a new attempt for users," adding, "We will continue to strive to make it easier for citizens to use the Suwon City website."
