Gyeonggi Agricultural and Marine Products Promotion Agency, Emergency Inspection of School Meal Supply System Gyeonggi Provincial Government

Gyeonggi Province is set to conduct an on-site inspection of the eco-friendly school meal supply system.


The Gyeonggi-do Agricultural and Marine Products Promotion Agency announced on the 22nd that it will carry out a two-day on-site inspection of the Gyeonggi eco-friendly school meal supply system from the 23rd to the 24th.


During this inspection, the agency will closely monitor the entire process from the arrival of eco-friendly agricultural products harvested by farmers at the Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Distribution Center (Gonjiam-eup, Gwangju-si) to their supply to schools.


The main inspection sites include the Hanam Food Bank and agricultural product preprocessing companies located in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. The agency will also inspect operations such as agricultural product inspection, sorting, and picking at the Gyeonggi Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Distribution Center. Additionally, the inspection will cover the ingredient inspection process at a middle school in Yangju.


Choi Chang-su, head of the Gyeonggi Agricultural and Marine Products Promotion Agency, stated, "The answer is always on-site," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that high-quality ingredients are distributed to schools through this school meal supply system inspection."


Since 2019, the agency has been directly operating the Gyeonggi eco-friendly school meal program, supplying excellent ingredients to over 1,400 schools within the province.
