Victory Report in Doosan Match Play Championship Semifinals
Hong Jeong-min and Na Hee-won Clash in 3rd-4th Place Match After Semifinal Defeat
Park Hyun-kyung and Sung Yoo-jin clash for the title of ‘Match Queen’.
On the 21st, Park Hyun-kyung defeated Na Hee-won by 5 holes in the semifinals of the Doosan Match Play Championship (total prize money 900 million KRW), part of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, held at Radena Golf Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province (par 72, 6,350 yards). Park took control early by winning holes 1, 4, 6, and 7, and sealed the victory by winning the 14th hole (par 5).

Park Hyun-kyung is a strong competitor on the KLPGA Tour with three wins, including two majors. This season, she has not won but finished as runner-up twice, at the Hana Financial Group Singapore Ladies Open and the Mediheal-Korea Daily Championship. Her last victory was two years ago, in May 2021, at the major Chris F&C KLPGA Championship.
Sung Yoo-jin advanced to the final by defeating defending champion Hong Jeong-min by 4 holes in the other semifinal. After winning holes 3 and 4, she lost the 10th hole (par 4) but bounced back by winning the 12th and 14th holes, finishing the match on the 16th hole (par 3). Sung secured her first career win last June at the Lotte Open and has made two top-10 finishes this year.
