Geumcheon-gu Conducts Environmental Cleanup Activities on Hoamsan Mountain with the Deaf Association and I’m U
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) carried out an environmental cleanup activity on the 19th to collect accumulated trash around Hoamsan Mountain.
Hoamsan Mountain is the main mountain of Geumcheon-gu, featuring significant historical sites such as the Hoamsanseong Fortress from the Three Kingdoms period, Hanwumul well, and Seokgusang stone statue. It is also home to popular spots like the pine forest bathing area, Kalbawi rock, and Hoamsan Waterfall, attracting many hikers.
About 120 participants took part in the cleanup activity, including members of the Seoul Deaf Association Geumcheon Branch, employees of I’m U Co., Ltd. located in Gasan-dong, and the Geumcheon-gu Woollim Sharing Volunteer Group, collecting approximately 300 liters of trash.
Choi Jae-seop, CEO of I’m U, who attended the event, said, “I feel very rewarded to see Hoamsan Mountain cleaned up through today’s environmental cleanup activity. Since this year, we have been donating a portion of our sales profits to improve welfare for the hearing impaired. We will continue to engage in activities to spread a culture of sharing in the local community.”
Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank everyone who worked hard so that residents can enjoy a clean Hoamsan Mountain. We will continue to strive to make Geumcheon more pleasant and safe.”
