Zelensky Visiting Japan for G7: "Peace Will Come Closer"

On the 20th, Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, who visited Japan, stated on his Twitter account regarding the Group of Seven (G7) summit, "An important meeting with Ukraine's partners and friends," adding, "Today, peace will come closer."


President Zelensky arrived in Hiroshima, Japan, in the afternoon of the same day to attend the G7 summit. He posted this message on his Twitter account immediately after arriving in Japan.

He explained the significance of attending the G7 Hiroshima summit, saying, "Security and strengthened cooperation for our (Ukraine's) victory."


According to Japanese media, President Zelensky departed for Japan from Jeddah Airport in western Saudi Arabia in the morning after attending the Arab League (AL) summit held in Saudi Arabia.


On the final day of the G7 summit, the 21st, President Zelensky will participate in a session addressing the situation in Ukraine. Additionally, he will hold bilateral meetings with various leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
