‘Technical Protection Support Team’ Expanded to 80 Experts
Recruiting Lawyers, Patent Attorneys, etc. Until the 2nd of Next Month
Dedicated to Each Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration

On the 21st, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it will expand the number of experts in the 'Technology Protection Support Team' from the current 49 to 80. The team will be organized by each regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration to provide prompt initial support for technology dispute cases involving small and medium enterprises. Applications will be accepted from the 22nd until the 2nd of next month.

The newly appointed experts will be assigned to each regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration. To enhance the expertise of the 'Technology Protection Support Team,' job training on technology protection systems related to relevant government agencies is also planned to be conducted within next month.


Introduced in 2018, the 'Technology Protection Support Team' is a public-private joint organization composed of local technology protection experts who meet certain qualifications, including public officials from each regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, lawyers, and patent attorneys. The team has performed advisory activities for the prevention of technology protection for local SMEs, promptly visited SMEs upon receiving reports of technology infringement to establish response directions, and served as an offline reception desk providing guidance on related technology protection systems. Minister Lee Young of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups stated, "Through the expansion of experts, we expect to accurately and promptly guide the necessary technology protection response measures to the applying SMEs.”
