Changwon Business and Citizens Festival Opens: Celebration of Corporate Love and Community Spirit

Changwon Business Love Council Hosts... Discount Events Until the 25th

Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th at 2 p.m. that the 20th Corporate Love Citizen Festival commemorative ceremony, hosted by the Changwon Corporate Love Council, was held at the Changwon Convention Center.

Started to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the designation of the Changwon National Industrial Complex, this year marks the 20th festival commemorative ceremony with the slogan, "20th Anniversary, a Festival of Hopeful Companies and Citizens as 20-Year-Old Youth!"

In line with this, male and female worker representatives who have served 20 years in Changwon declared the opening ceremony, followed by Kim I-geun, chairman of the Changwon Special City Council, reading the Corporate Love Citizen Declaration, pledging to practice corporate love as a citizen representative.

At the commemorative ceremony, awards were also presented to Shin Ki-su, CEO of Daegun Tech, as this year’s Best CEO, and Hong Yeon-gu, senior engineer at Hyundai Motor Company, as this year’s Best Worker. After the commemorative performance, comedian Seo Kyung-seok gave a special lecture titled “Joyful Challenge and Passion,” which received enthusiastic responses from over 300 attending citizens.

Besides the commemorative ceremony, the 20th Corporate Love Citizen Festival will hold side events until the 25th, including group viewing of NC baseball games, first pitch and first bat events by the Best CEO and worker awardees, the industrial complex plogging mission “We are GREEN Changwon!”, award ceremonies for the Corporate Love photo, art, and writing contests, and exhibitions of past award-winning Corporate Love photos and artworks.

Jo Myung-rae, the 2nd Deputy Mayor, said, “The Corporate Love Citizen Festival has already reached its 20th anniversary,” adding, “This festival, which shares the history of the Changwon National Industrial Complex, is hoped to continue growing into a more hopeful festival together with citizens, along with the bright future of Changwon City through Changwon National Industrial Complex 2.0.”
