Held Together with the Gyeongnam and Jeonnam Provincial Branches of the Hometown Housewives Association
About 40 executives from the Gyeongnam Nonghyup and the Gyeongnam and Jeonnam branches of the Housewives' Association Thinking of Hometown are holding the 16th ‘Yeong-Honam Women Leaders Namdo Culture Forum’ event from the 18th to the 19th at the Hadong World Tea Expo site.
This event, which provides a regular meeting place for friendship promotion and East-West harmony among Yeong-Honam women leaders, is now in its 16th year.
It started in 2006 in Jangseong, Jeonnam, with the purpose of contributing to women's welfare and balanced regional development, and has been held annually alternating between the Yeong and Honam regions.

On this day, Kim Pil-woon, chairman of the Gyeongnam branch of the Housewives' Association Thinking of Hometown, and Shin Geum-sook, chairman of the Jeonnam branch, resolved as joint action items to understand the public value of agriculture and rural areas, promote the use of domestic agricultural products, spread the value of agriculture and rural areas, participate in creating beautiful rural communities, and serve as a bridge between urban and rural areas to practice love for rural communities.
Gyeongnam donated 1 million won to Haenam County in Jeonnam, and Jeonnam donated 1 million won to Hadong County in Gyeongnam as hometown love donations.
Kim Ju-yang, head of the headquarters, said in his greeting, “We hope that through more active exchanges in the future, we will become a strong link connecting Gyeongnam and Jeonnam, enabling urban and rural areas to coexist and become the foundation for the continuous spread of regional love movements.”
