Speedo2000 is an instant lottery composed of two tickets per set. Winners receive up to 1 billion won per ticket, with a maximum of 2 billion won.
Meanwhile, last month, the government set next year's expected lottery sales at a record high of 7.3 trillion won. If the lottery sells as planned, the revenue will increase by about 230 billion won compared to this year.
Among these, instant lotteries such as Speedo are expected to increase by 114.6 billion won (15.8%) to 839.3 billion won compared to this year.
The government also announced that it will strengthen measures, including raising the penalty standards for the lottery operator, as a follow-up to the lottery accident controversies such as the printing error of the ‘Speedo1000’ instant lottery that occurred in 2021.
