27 New 2023 Models to Launch Sequentially from the 18th
Added 'Auto Closing' Feature for Quiet Operation
LG Electronics announced on the 19th that it will launch 27 new refrigerator models equipped with an automatic door-closing feature. This is expected to reduce electricity waste caused by doors being left slightly open.
LG Electronics revealed that it will sequentially release the 2023 Dios Objet Collection refrigerator models starting from the 18th. These models are equipped with the 'Auto Closing' feature, which automatically closes the refrigerator’s upper door when it is pushed just before fully closing. This reduces loud noises and shocks, prevents electricity waste from doors being left ajar, and helps keep food fresh.

This is an UP appliance that allows new features to be added after purchase. Through LG Electronics’ integrated home appliance management platform, the 'ThinQ' app, functions such as 'Door Open Alert Time Setting' can be continuously upgraded. If the door remains open beyond the set time, the ThinQ app sends an alert notification.
The refrigerators are equipped with a key component, the 'Inverter Linear Compressor,' which improves energy efficiency. Unlike traditional compressors that rotate, the linear compressor moves in a straight line, resulting in less energy loss during power transmission. Among the 27 new models, 13 have received the highest energy efficiency rating of Grade 1. When the ThinQ app’s Smart Care+ is activated, artificial intelligence (AI) analyzes customer usage patterns and automatically switches to power-saving mode during low-usage hours, such as early morning.
The lineup also includes a premium 50mm round ice maker called 'Craft Ice,' which produces ice suitable for cocktails, whiskey, coffee, and more.

New colors such as Cream White and Cream Gray have been added, developed in collaboration with the U.S.-based Pantone Color Institute. The capacity ranges from 820 to 875 liters. The suggested retail price ranges from 2.95 million to 5.9 million KRW.
Hyunwook Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Kitchen Solutions Division at LG Electronics’ H&A (Home Appliance & Air Solution) Business Unit, stated, "We will continue to introduce products that provide differentiated customer experiences with various features such as Auto Closing and Craft Ice."
