As the demand for youthful skin grows stronger, more people are undergoing dermatological procedures to improve wrinkles and restore skin elasticity. Among these, Ulthera lifting is a popular treatment that uses focused ultrasound to coagulate skin tissue, enhancing skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles. LG Electronics has launched the 'LG Pra.L DermaSera,' a device that delivers Ulthera treatment effects at home, targeting customers interested in skincare. Recently, they have started operating spaces where customers can directly experience this product, attracting considerable attention.

Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. On the 12th, the 'Sera House Dosan' pop-up store opened by LG Electronics was crowded even on a weekday afternoon. With its striking red exterior catching the eyes of passersby, Sera House is a space where customers can directly experience and purchase LG Electronics' private beauty care solution, 'LG Pra.L' products. Thanks to a simple reservation system via Naver and free trials, up to 100 customers visit daily.

DermaSera is a beauty device based on Ulthera ultrasound technology that cares for the facial contour. It is designed to manage the elasticity of sagging facial areas such as under the chin, forehead, around the eyes, and cheeks at home. When the head part is pressed against the skin and the button is touched, ultrasound reaches up to 3mm beneath the skin, stimulating collagen production. According to a skin improvement experiment conducted by the P&K Skin Clinical Research Center on 25 adult women, using DermaSera once a week for four weeks improved skin elasticity under the chin and on the forehead by 34.8% and 29.8%, respectively.

The reporter made an online reservation to experience the device and visited Sera House Dosan, entering the trial space after a brief check. First, the promotional video of DermaSera played on a screen at the entrance on the first floor of Sera House was watched. The space provided a brief explanation of DermaSera’s principles and showcased various LG Pra.L beauty devices such as WashPop and MediHair at a glance.

On the second floor was the DermaSera experience zone, the highlight of Sera House. Having reserved a private experience zone, the reporter conducted a one-on-one demonstration with a beauty master. For the trial on the cheek area, makeup was simply removed using cleansing tissues placed on the vanity before using the device.

A journalist with a private reservation tried the Dermacera demonstration one-on-one with a beauty master. On the dressing table were cleansing tissues for removing makeup, as well as ampoules and moisturizing gel needed for using the device.

Necessary ampoules and moisturizing gels were prepared for device use, with the ampoule being a product from LG Household & Health Care’s O Hui line. After applying O Hui’s elasticity serum to the device and the cheek, the DermaSera head was gently pressed while pressing the shot (SHOT) button on the back?a simple method. If the head deviated from the correct usage angle, the ultrasound emission stopped automatically, and a voice guided the user on the correct method, which was helpful during use.

There were five levels from 1 to 5, but Sera House recommended using levels 1 and 2. A staff member explained, "For first-time users, it is best to start at level 1 and gradually increase the intensity to suit the skin." Each cartridge contains a basic 30,000 shots, and with 300 shots used per week, it can last about two years. After use, the head cartridge can be replaced. Using level 1, 40 shots were applied to each cheek, and a slight tingling sensation similar to static electricity was felt. Since it was a single use, it was difficult to feel any immediate improvement in elasticity.

After the DermaSera experience, the reporter moved to a space where makeup touch-ups were provided. This service restored makeup removed by the device using LG Household & Health Care’s Freshian and Glint brand products. Along with explanations of each product, experts advised on suitable colors and application techniques, resulting in high customer satisfaction.

Next to the private care zone was a self-care zone. This space is for customers who made on-site reservations or prefer to experience the device comfortably on their own. Although one might think using the device alone would be difficult for first-timers, guidance notes were placed to facilitate self-care, and staff members were stationed throughout to assist, ensuring no inconvenience. A customer in the self-care zone said, "I initially reserved the private care zone and visited, but I came back to the self-care zone to try it more comfortably."

There were also entertainment options. On the first floor, there was a space to rest while enjoying a welcome drink; the second floor featured various photo zones for SNS marketing; and on the rooftop located on the third floor, visitors could experience a tattoo print machine called 'IMPRINTU,' offering diverse experiences. LG Electronics’ products were also noticeable throughout, attracting customers’ attention?from the portable monitor 'LG StanbyME' to wireless earphones 'Tone Free,' and the plant lifestyle appliance 'LG Tiiun Mini.'

LG Electronics reportedly put considerable thought into providing a differentiated customer experience encompassing the entire purchase journey from the pop-up store’s planning stage. It seems LG Electronics will continue its efforts to promote the LG Pra.L brand and make it more approachable through communication with customers.
