The recent status of the dog 'Janggeumi,' who was tied up in the outdoor garden of the 5-star hotel 'Paraspara Seoul' located in Bukhansan National Park, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, has been revealed.
On the 16th, the animal organization CARE posted on their official Instagram, "We received many reports expressing concern about the dog's future. After multiple discussions with the hotel and receiving information about their humane plans moving forward, we are informing you all."
Janggeumi has left Paraspara Seoul and is currently undergoing training at a training center in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province. CARE stated that the hotel received expert consulting on the need to improve Janggeumi's environment.

Additionally, the hotel decided that since Janggeumi had never received any training since birth, she would be allowed to train at the Pocheon training center during the period of environmental improvement construction. The training period is known to be the minimum duration of six months.
According to CARE, a hotel official said, "The environment for Janggeumi's future life will start with floor construction that does not strain her knee joints. You can trust us on this."
A CARE representative stated, "It was the careful attention of citizens who did not pass by indifferently to the environment where the animals live that made Janggeumi's environment better," adding, "It is very fortunate that the hotel is actively reflecting the demands of citizens and improving to achieve good results."
Meanwhile, Janggeumi's story became known after a post titled 'Is this proper management of a dog raised at a 5-star hotel?' was uploaded on an online community.
The author explained, "While taking a walk around (Paraspara Hotel), I found a dog," and added, "At first, I thought it was a dog raised by the hotel, but the more I looked, the stranger it seemed," and even inquired with the hotel front desk staff.
The author further added, "I was told, 'We are raising the dog to protect the hotel from wild boars,'" which sparked controversy.
In response, the hotel issued an apology stating, "Due to its location within a national park, we have made various efforts to monitor the appearance of wild animals during winter," and explained, "In the process of selecting an effective method, the location of a guard dog kept at a nearby private residence was moved closer to the resort."
