Samyang Foods Launches Two New Mexican-Style Buldak Products

Samyang Foods announced on the 17th that it has launched two new products in its Buldak brand featuring Mexican flavors: ‘Jalapeno Cheese Buldak Bokkeummyeon’ and ‘Buldak Chipotle Mayo.’

‘Jalapeno Cheese Buldak Bokkeummyeon’ completes a Mexican-style spiciness using jalapeno and cheese. It adds the sharp spiciness and smoky aroma of jalapeno to the heat of Buldak, and enhances the savory cheese flavor with a separately included cheese powder soup. Additionally, it contains plenty of fried chili flakes to improve texture and umami. The spiciness level is similar to that of the Nuclear Buldak Bokkeummyeon.

‘Buldak Chipotle Mayo’ is a sauce product that incorporates ‘chipotle,’ made by smoking and drying jalapeno, into Buldak mayo. It recreates the chipotle flavor using jalapeno ingredients and smoky aroma, adds a tangy taste with tomato paste, and emphasizes exotic flavors by adding oregano and basil leaves. It pairs well not only with dishes like tacos and fried foods but also with snacks such as nachos.

A Samyang Foods representative said, “This product reflects consumers’ recent high interest in exotic flavors,” and added, “Starting with this Mexican-style product, we plan to introduce additional new Buldak products incorporating distinctive overseas flavors in the future.”
