Through this business agreement, both parties will strengthen cooperation in improving meal quality and nutrition enhancement projects for the elderly and disabled using meals at social welfare facilities under the Hankijang Welfare Foundation. CJ Freshway will develop customized care food products and balanced menus and provide meal operation consulting. In particular, it will support hygiene and nutrition management focusing on small-scale social welfare facilities with fewer than 50 people that operate without nutritionists.

Furthermore, both parties promised to mutually cooperate in developing and introducing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities that can be practiced in social welfare facility cafeterias. Healthy Nuri provides customized food culture education services based on health eating education programs such as cooking classes and nutrition counseling. It also plans to develop ESG-linked products and content throughout the meal operation of social welfare facilities.

The Hankijang Welfare Foundation is a social welfare corporation established in 1995 by the Korean Christian Presbyterian Church, operating over 120 social welfare facilities nationwide, including comprehensive social, elderly, and disabled welfare centers. It is also committed to ESG management by expanding transparency and publicness in overall social welfare facility operations and conducting environmental protection and social contribution activities.

A CJ Freshway official said, "We have signed this business agreement with the Hankijang Welfare Foundation to improve the quality of meals for socially marginalized groups and to practice ESG management. Through continuous mutual exchange and cooperation with the foundation, we will do our best to contribute to the development of meal services at social welfare facilities and the healthy eating habits of users."
