Kakao "Create Your Own KakaoTalk Profile with AI"

It will become possible to apply a one-of-a-kind image to your KakaoTalk profile.

Kakao announced on the 16th that, in collaboration with Kakao Brain, it will run the 'Mind Background Gallery' promotion, where the generative AI 'Karlo' creates KakaoTalk profile backgrounds, until the 31st.

During the promotion period, users can create KakaoTalk profile background images using Kakao Brain's Karlo. By selecting several keywords such as mood, place, weather, and painting style on the promotion page, Karlo draws a unique background image in a friendly painting style that captures everyday scenes.

Users can choose their favorite image from multiple backgrounds, apply a frame that matches the painting style, and save the image for keeps. By clicking 'Apply Background' within the promotion page, they can immediately set it as their KakaoTalk profile background. Due to the nature of generative AI, even users who select the same keyword combinations will receive different images.

A Kakao representative said, "We prepared this promotion so that users can easily experience image-generating AI technology and engage in light but closer communication by confirming each other's feelings through profiles that convey emotions without having to converse." They added, "We will continue to consider various services with the goal of making communication between people and between people and technology closer and safer."
