Discussion on Future Cooperation Plans for Orders of Communication Devices and Network Equipment
Korea Trade Insurance Corporation announced on the 17th that it will provide financial support of 380 million euros (approximately 552 billion KRW) for the domestic company telecommunications equipment purchase project of the French mobile carrier 'Bouygues Telecom'.
Bouygues Telecom is a mobile carrier with about 15 million subscribers. Using insurance supported by K-sure as collateral, it plans to secure a loan for the telecommunications equipment purchase payment through the European global bank 'Banco Santander'.
In this regard, President Lee In-ho recently visited the Bouygues Telecom headquarters in Paris, France, and discussed detailed cooperation plans for future telecommunications equipment and network equipment orders with President Beno?t Torloting.
Additionally, K-sure attended the spring general meeting of the 'International Credit Insurance & Investment Association' held in Brussels, Belgium, from the 9th, where it discussed mutual cooperation measures with major export credit agencies to respond to changes in the global supply chain.
Previously, in 2019, K-sure supported telecommunications equipment purchase financing worth 250 million euros to the Italian telecom company 'TIM', and in 2021, it supported purchase financing worth 100 million euros to Poland's largest telecom company 'P4'.
President Lee said, "We will actively support our companies to maintain a leading position in the European market, where fierce competition among global telecommunications equipment companies is prominent."
