Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly Selects Outstanding Legislative Award Recipients Contributing to Regional Development

On the 16th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Council held the award ceremony for the '13th Excellent Legislative Award' organized by the National Association of Chairpersons of City and Provincial Councils in the council's meeting room.

On this day, council members Choi Dong-won, Heo Yong-bok, Baek Su-myeong, Kwon Hyuk-jun, Kwon Won-man, Jeong Ssang-hak, and Jo In-je received plaques.

On the 16th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Council held the award ceremony for the 13th Excellent Legislative Award, organized by the National Association of Chairpersons of City and Provincial Councils, in the council's legislative meeting room.

The awardees have been recognized for their active legislative activities that have contributed to establishing the council's status, and for their exceptional passion and efforts to improve the quality of life for residents and the development of local councils.

▲ Councilor Choi was acknowledged for "urging effective measures in areas closely related to residents' lives, establishing a sound donation culture, and devising measures for socially vulnerable groups." ▲ Councilor Heo was recognized for "active external legislative activities and participation in research groups." ▲ Councilor Baek was commended for "legislative activities to expand budgets for agriculture and fisheries and institutional improvements to build a sustainable agricultural and fishery environment." ▲ Councilor Kwon was praised for "preventing budget waste through professional and thorough analysis in in-depth budget review." ▲ Councilor Kwon was also acknowledged for "institutional improvements and policy proposals for the development of the construction and firefighting sectors." ▲ Councilor Jeong was recognized for "contributing to smooth council operations and revitalization of local councils as the vice-chair of the Culture and Welfare Committee." ▲ Councilor Jo was commended for "leading efforts to urge the uninterrupted promotion of the Gaya history research and restoration project through a government proposal and co-sponsoring ordinances to solve regional issues."

The Excellent Legislative Award is given by the National Association of Chairpersons of City and Provincial Councils to outstanding council members who have made significant contributions to regional development through proactive and preemptive legislative activities. The award is recommended by the chairpersons of city and provincial councils and granted after review by the association.
